3D Printed Advent Calendar – 3MF Files & Original Design Files

My first-ever 3D modeling project, and I may have started with something a little ambitious!

This 3D printed advent calendar features a base with individual numbered doors designed to open and close, creating a fun reusable calendar you can fill with your own little surprises.

I had never made a 3D model before starting this project, so there was definitely a learning curve. Some doors needed a little extra manipulation to fit and function properly, but with a bit of super glue and carefully applied heat, I was able to get everything sitting nicely and working as intended. For a first modeling attempt, I'm really happy with how it turned out!

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT DOWNLOAD

• 3MF file of the base
• 3MF file of the door tray
• A separate folder containing individual numbered door files

The 3MF files let you open the project in compatible 3D printing software and prepare the parts for printing.

When purchased directly from my website for $1.00, you'll also receive my original base and door design files, along with an expanded license that allows you to:

• Modify and customize the original base and door files
• Create your own variations of the design
• Sell physical 3D-printed calendars made from the original or modified designs

Digital file restrictions still apply. You may not share, redistribute, upload, or sell the original digital files or modified/remixed digital versions. The expanded license applies to my original design files only; any third-party models added to the project remain subject to their respective creators' licenses.

FUTURE UPDATES

This project is still growing! I plan to add more files as I continue developing the calendar and its contents.

Future additions I'm working toward include:

• An STL file of the complete base for remixing purposes
• Two trays of scaled-down toy models designed to fit inside the calendar
• Links and credits for the original toy models used

I'm currently collecting and printing a variety of toy models, including commercially licensed and non-commercial designs, to create the little surprises that go inside. These additions will come later and are not included in the current download.

A NOTE FROM THE MAKER

This was my very first attempt at creating a 3D model, and I learned a lot along the way. It isn't a perfect, professionally engineered design, but it's a project I'm genuinely proud of, and I'm excited to keep improving it.
